A Random Assortment

A lot of times I do a project as a way of learning something new or putting my skills to the test. These tend to be shorter and less fleshed out but still valuable nonetheless. Below are examples of these projects with a short description as to why I chose to do them or the inspiration behind them.

This rendering was my first attempt at some sort of realism based on a photograph from many years ago as I was still starting out. On top of that, I had realized that an overwhelming majority, if not all, of the renderings that I did in the work environment were day time renderings and I had never done a dusk/evening environment so I thought that it would be a good practice in lighting and mood.

The purpose of this rendering was to practice creating an isometric floor plan view of a house. I decided to go with The Simpsons house not only because it might be one of the most recognizable houses, but because I am a huge Simpsons fan.

I have found through learning how to model and render that making something look perfect is much easier than making it look imperfect. The purpose of this short project was to practice the art of imperfection.

At one of my jobs we were tasked with rendering product in the context of the stores that they would be sold in. Completing this task for super markets and hyper markets was easy, the hard part was rendering them in a high frequency walk in mart in India where they try to fit in as much product as possible into the small spaces that they have.

This took extra care into detail to make it look as natural and realistic as possible.
